My visibility dropped sharply, and everything suddenly turned black and white. There were no rooms in the dungeon. I can't get to the bottom because I'm just dying at a certain depth. In the dungeon's case the wall of blocks is thicker than 5 blocks (unless there has been faulty world gen) so world evils and the hallow can't spread through the dungeon.
