The second choice would be an Improved Cylinder or Modified choke Tube. My Ithaca Deerslayer barrels are choked IC and shoot shot very well and slugs to 100 yards. I use those on deer and after I tag out on controlled deer or elk.

Webb19 mars 2024 · I have never slugged my 392 rifle barrels (due to them being brass) but I have my old 140 and it is pretty tight on the pellet leaving rifling indentations in the head of the pellet. And pellets I have recovered from my 392 show rifling marks. Pulling patches through my Urban (.22) and Marauder (.25) the barrels are most decidedly choked.
